We live with the issues of international relations and international security every day, but most people have not learned relevant knowledge about those. As a result, they are unfamiliar with the international events that are happening. Gradually, they care the international affair issues less and less or they want to care but have no idea with how to start. The main audience of this course would be the general public or all kinds of students in college. As an introductory course for learning the knowledge of international security, international strategy. Besides, we hope the students can become the people who care this world outside Taiwan more. The course through the EMI way, and we also hope to attract the students joining from other countries. Through the stimulation form different perspectives, we can create more knowledge about the course’ topics.
Dr. Chun Wei Ma is an Assistant Professor at Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies Tamkang University, Taiwan. His research field of expertise includes international relation theories, Indo-Pacific regional security, US-China-Taiwan triangle relations, comparative think tank research and Chinese foreign policy. He received his PhD in Political Science department of National Taiwan University in Taiwan.
Dr. Ying Yu Lin is an Assistant Professor at Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies Tamkang University in New Taipei City, Taiwan and a Research Fellow at Association of Strategic Foresight. He received his Ph.D in the Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies, Tamkang University. His research interests include PLA studies and Cyber security.
Dr. Ray Ou-Yang is an assistant professor at the Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies, Tamkang University. His areas of expertise include international political economy, comparative political economy, authoritarian politics, Chinese politics, Asia-Pacific politics, and advanced quantitative methods. His current research centers on China’s economic statecraft. He received his PhD in Political Science from the University of Iowa in the USA.
