Seventy long jokes collected over the past 20 years are used to revitalize and reconstruct students' basic grammar concepts that they should have learned but didn't, such as tenses, verbs transitive and intransitive (complete and incomplete), types of clauses, subjunctive mood, etc. This online course will minister a survey and a pre-test followed by the same survey and test to monitor the learning outcome. It is hoped that boring grammar teaching could be redeemed and invigorated through the help of humor and laughter.
1.use the vocabulary and phrases from the jokes they have learned
2.transitive and intransitive verbs in sentence formation
3.compound and complex sentences
4.subjunctive mood
5.overall use and formation of verb tenses
6.better understand the Western culture, particularly in the aspect of humor; and enhance English ability on their own by using the abundant resources on the Internet.
